Who can benefit from Equine Therapy
The participants who benefit from the horse therapy are those who are vulnerable, at-risk and in need of additional community support. The participants who access the animal assisted therapy have an array of issues including:

With a proven track record of successfully working with over 500 participants using equine assisted therapy in Ballarat to heal past trauma and overwhelming emotions and experiences such as depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, trauma and loss. HEAL is a program rich in client centered and solution-oriented outcomes.

Equine Assisted Therapy has been around since the 1960’s and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy since the 1990’s. At its core, it’s about helping you deal with issues on a social, emotional and cognitive level.
Horses are big animals, so when you’re working with horses in a therapeutic setting, you can quickly begin to discover how you have been navigating life’s big issues.
Equine Assisted therapy can assist you to discover new ways and effective strategies to deal with big issues and give you new insight, clarity and ability to tackle these to move forward in life.
It’s a proven method to gain insight into your behaviours and patterns and can assist you to establish new, more effective strategies to allow yourself to better communicate and express what you want and what you need.
HEAL is a program run over 8 sessions, generally one hour a week at Heal@Millbrook in Millbrook near Ballarat.
